Just in case you lost your instructions for your new thermostat here they are. This thermostat will only work for a two stage heat pump system or second stage gas/oil.

Your old thermostat subbase was made for American Standard/Trane/York by Honeywell company. Below is a link to the Honeywell site so you can see which wires were connected where and the color.

Note: easy does it on this conversion. If you happen to land the wrong wire on the wrong terminal that new thermostat of yours can go up in smoke. If you do not feel comfortable doing this conversion I recommend having a local HVAC company do your On site thermostat install.

On the right side of the page your terminal listing is FIGURE 10. This listing is for York but American Standard also used this.

    WIRE COLOR___FUNCTION____________OLD THERMO___NEW THERMO
    white__________aux ht relay____________W_____________AUX
black__________outdoor thermistor_______T_____________? This wire not connected on new thermostat
    green__________fan relay______________G_____________G
    red____________transformer hot_________R_____________R w/jumper to Rc
brown__________outdoor thermostat______X2____________? This wire not connected on new thermostat
    yellow_________compressor contactor____Y_____________Y
    orange_________cool chg.over valve______O_____________O/B
    blue___________transformer common_____B_____________C

I will mention this again. If you do not feel comfortable doing this change over let a professional ON Site HVAC person do the work.

    Good luck.

Further ASYSTAT655A conversion to 1F72-151 questions:
The new stat doesn't have a AUX on the terminal blocks. Should I use the W2 terminal on E1 ?
Reference Rc - Is the jumper to be connected between R on E1 and C on E2 since there is no Rc ?

Yes W2 as stated in the W/R instructions.

No jumper at this time from RC.

I tried to find something close to the old unit but the diagram was not perfect.
