Hi All,
I was wondering if someone could give me some advice.

Although I’m not sure how this started I think I had a single red area like a spot before its ready. I think I squeezed it but I really can’t remember.

Anyway I know for sure I ended up with a red spot at the top of my leg (no head) and around it was half a dozen little red spots (no heads) in a circle (nearly a perfect circle), about 1.5" diameter.

I admit I squeezed one and got abit of puss out like a normal spot, the circle of spots seemed to go away over 2 weeks. And then recently I’ve noticed I’ve now got a series of red spot like bumps, they seemed quite hard under the skin.

At present.....

I’ve put some "epaderm" for dry skin on them which is why they look shiny in the pic.

They don’t seem to have heads and they don’t seem hard under the skin now, although there are little dry bits on each red spot.

I don’t have anything else like this, just this one area at the top of my leg.

Any ideas? It does itch every now and again. I seem to have read that fungal infections are common on the inside of a man’s leg?

Its starting to worry me now but Im never happy going to the doctors. I know I might have to...

I would suggest getting it looked at, it may just be a rash, try some zinc cream

There are a couple of good antifungal products that are available across the counter. Lotramin AF Liquid Spray or Blistosol Liquid. If it is fungal, it will probably burn like fire when applied but should take care it in a few days. If it doesn't then you should see a doctor to make sure it's not a bacterial infection.

I'd put a few creams on to no effect. After looking on here and Google I came across the term "dhobie itch", I noticed abit ago I had atheletes foot between one toe. Ive got "Lamisil" cream off the shelf for it and it happens to say also for dhobie itch on the tube so Ive applied that and its instantly less red. I think that will cure it, and it doesn't hurt when applied?

Dave, I'm glad to hear this is helping. The Lamisil cream may not be as strong as the Blistosol liquid that I've used in the past. I discovered that if I had a raw fungal rash and applied the liquid it would burn like heck. Likewise, it wouldn't burn if was anything other than fungal. There are a couple of other things to consider like ringworm or an allergic skin reaction to a new laundry detergent or fabric softner in your clothes especially if you get sweaty at work or working out. And, sometimes there are bacterial infections that just won't go away without prescription meds.
I hope it is fungal and the Lamisil takes care of it.
