    How can I get citizenship?
    I have been living in Portugal for 9 years, married a portuguese man in 2002 and have had residency since 2003. My daughter was born in Portugal. I am south African. How can I apply for citizenship and what do I need to do so? Thank you very much.

    Dear Joanne,

    You can apply for the Portuguese citizenship as spouse of a Portuguese citizen as you have been married for over 3 years to your husband.

    In your case, as you have been living in Portugal for over 9 years and is completely inserted in the community, your procedure will be straightforward.
