Please remember that a Quji board is a game mass produced by mattel or some toy producer. While the board can be very creepy, it is just a toy. Sometimes users become convinced they've been contacted by the spirit world. Some users believe that paranormal or supernatural forces are at work in spelling out Ouija board answers. In reality, those using the board either consciously or unconsciously move the pointer to what is selected. To prove this, simply try it blindfolded for some time, having an innocent bystander take notes on what words or letters are selected. Usually, the results will be unintelligible. It's okay to have fun with a Quji board but trying to speak with your grandfather is something that just isn't going to happen. Speak to him in another way... prayer or meditation. He would probably appreciate that more.

I am familiar with the Ouji Board and I'm may even believe it can change your life
Your brain is what really controls your life - change your mind & change your life
Isn't this made by Parker Brothers -- like Monopoly -- for entertainment
Some who believe say you can't control the spirits that come through --??

Do not buy the board!! If your grandfather wants to contact you he will. Go to "The Unicorn School" website and ask about the Ouija Board. God speed to you dear!

I disagree with rankrank55. Yes this game has been produced by Mattel since around the 1950's or 60's however, it's not a game at all. This is an ancient practice that is almost like dowsing. You can create your own ouji board out of cardboard and it will work the same way the game from mattel works. From my own personal experience and that of others, this is one of the most dangerous “games” you can play. I have used ouji boards not knowing much about them. I have not used one in 25 years and for good reason. If you don't have any evil spirits around you at all, you just might after using this tool. I invited something horrible into my life about 25 years ago using a ouji board. I had to have the Church and many members of the church help me for quite sometime. I eventually moved out of the State I was living in and became very involved in the Church so the thing went away. I was not dealing with a friendly ghost, I was dealing with something very evil, a demon. This thing brought havoc in my life. I even saw the inhuman thing. I also used one as a young teenager and the same thing happened. Me and some other teenage girls were playing with the ouji and it disturbed us all, that spirit did not want me in that room. It called me a white witch, kept saying fu to me, etc, We were all shocked. Needless to say, I actually burned that ouji board about 25 years ago. Not a game my friend!

True, this is no game. It has been around since the eighteen hundreds or maybe earlier. Yes Mattel has made them from 1950's on to today. Yes they can bring evil spirits into your home, but so can buying a painting from a gallery. You just need to research information on the use of a Ouija Board. I make them. They are beautiful and a piece of art. I put allot of work into the boards I make, and all are safe if you follow a few guidelines. Have a piece of sterling silver with you while playing. If you don't have any,you can get a silver spoon from the thrift store for a dime.Have a white candle burning also. Evil spirits do not like "White Lights". Never ask it how it died,or it's identity,or any "God" questions. If it follows the alphabet from A to Z or numbers from 1 down, say good by and close it. Always say a closing prayer and include telling all good spirits to go to the white light, and bad ones to go away. Ask for protection from evil for your friends and family then say good by. Never store it with the plachete ,only separated. One thing I can't figure out though, is how the spirits get into the board. They sure aren't there when I make them. Be safe and follow these guidelines and you will be fine while using your board.

True, getting an old antique painting or piece of furniture can bring with it some unsavory spirits. I collect and sell antiques and I recently bought some ancient Indian artifacts and am wondering if I should even have these. I don't want to stir anything up. Sandyspacecase, I'm sure your boards are lovely and frankly I would like to see one myself. The actual board was created in the mid-1800's and Parker Brothers created the board and still does from the late 1950's, but this practice of contacting spirits has been going on for centuries with other tools. The Ouija is just a tool, they don't get into your boards. I'm sure you know that and I did think that was funny. You can contact spirits with a dowser, like a pendulum. They just want to communicate. All I know is a person that thinks this thing is a game, has no spiritual protection and uses this as a just a game (as somebody mentioned it was) is in danger. Personally I don't want to talk to anything that does not have the ability to go to the light. If their stuck here, there's a reason for it. Demons love causing havoc and destruction and that board is one vessel that attracts them. I won't get into what I experienced but it was with something that was non-human and was not a lost spirit that's for sure. No candle, spoon, cross, prayer, or whatever is going to run that type of thing away.

Although the presence of material things such as candles, spoons or prayers can not keep the evil in this world from reaching you through the use of a open door such as a Ouija Board, they can act as a deterrent towards them during the use of one. The most and common way used for entering this dimension is through ignorance and fear. If you really want to get technical, anything can be used to call on spirits of the dead. It all boils down to what you believe in,and how strong that belief is. The full moon, a crystal ball, sticks that have fallen a certain way,and fire are just an example. Writing letters and numbers on a piece of notebook paper works just as well also. Don't get me wrong, the evil that hangs around possible open doors is a true to life thing. I feel anyway. If spirits ,good or bad want to contact you, they will and do regardless of the use of such things.

I also agree. I think that that was a very good answer!

I agree with you BriityKitty - Some are ignorant to things because either they've never experienced them, tried them or just because somebody says it's okay. Regardless what the matter is, I know what this "game" can do first hand, and so do millions of other people. Some should not speak on a subject they know nothing about. It really does just show their ignorance.
