Ways to induce
I know about having sex and walking the baby out but my husband and I would just like to know if there is anything anyone has tried that has worked... I am excited to be having a baby but at 38 weeks I'm ready for my little munchkin to come out

I believe you should seek this advice from a doctor and not an anonymous internet board.

There are a number of natural methods that work well for some women, but it's best not to try any until you are passed your due date and only then if you are trying to possibly avoid a medical induction. Nothing will work well unless your body is ready for it anyway, and something's that get suggested can cause possible concerns for you and/or baby.
The last few weeks can be rough... and I fully understand being ready to move onto that next stage, but unless there is a true medical need for intervention, always best to let nature take its course. Why take a risk, however slight, if you don't have to?

I completely agree with Doula, Sorry gal, had to spread the love. I am giving you feedback not only as a mother of 4, but also as a labor and delivery nurse.
While there are a variety of natural ways to start the labor process, none will work until your baby and your body are ready.
Remember that due dates are just a guesstimate. It could go 2 weeks either way. Meaning you could be 36 weeks or 40 weeks.
Should you come into my labor and delivery unit tonight, I would not attempt to stop your labor at this point, however most hospitals will not even consider induction until at least 39 weeks due to the stress and possible complications that may occur with a possible 36 weeker.

My doctor told me not to worry about it. He induced me at 39 weeks so the baby wouldn't get too big for me (I had small hips). I know you are excited to be so close to motherhood, I guess your baby is just comfortable with where he is at right now :)
Congrats! By the way-

Bottom line - the baby will come when ready.
The BEST thing you can do right now is to stay relaxed.
Walking is good. Also, take warm baths - maybe add some lavender to it. Enjoy this time - because believe it or not - you will miss those kicks.
Oh, and make sure your bag is packed and ready to go. That is one thing I didn't have done at 38 weeks. So when the baby was ready... I wasn't!

We do many C-Sections at my hospital for induction failures. This includes natural inductions as well as medical inductions.
Best thing to do is just let nature take its course.
