My daughter is looking for a bronzer that works w/ her skin tone. I bought her one but it looks orange on her face by the end of the day...

Maybe she should be using a blush instead?

She's pale skinned like me... but she has acne still.

She has pink rosy cheeks...

Where can I take her so someone REPUTABLE can help her. I can't figure this one out... because it's not my OWN skin. I tried but I keep failing... (she doesn't want to go to a department store and be a guinea pig for all the on lookers to see. She's insecure I suppose, about it). I don't know any make up artists that I trust... and don't have friends that can recommend one.. :(

I just want to stop buying the wrong colours... lol...

I love my bronzer! It never looks orange, more tan. It's Mary Kay and it comes in 4 different shades to match your skin tone, 2 of them have shimmer and 2 are a matte finish

I use clinique products. They are top of the line and not as expensive as you might think. I use their bronzer and blush, both. I too am fair skinned, and depending on the time of year, (summer you are darker) you can apply it as needed, because there are about 6 different bronzing shades, you can mix as needed. It also has a shimmer added for an extra bit of glow. I also LOVE LOVE LOVE their blush, I use a very very pinky pink. It looks great! They can be found at Belk or Dillards! Hope this helps!

What if you not only are pale w/ acne, but also have oily skin?

(I'm making her sound awful looking! She's not, she's beautiful.. but she's at that age where her skin is INSANE right now).

I had SUPER oily skin, and there's a Mary Kay cleanser that I love called Velocity. It works great and smells good too! A few of my friends use it too. They also have an oil mattefier that you put on before foundation and it keeps your face from getting shiny. Works great!

Clinique carries a toner (I think it's the blue one for oily skin) I myself have combination skin. But the cosmetic reps at Clinique can show you all the products that would benefit her particular skin type. They are very knowledgeable and kind. The toner/cleanser goes on before the makeup. Clinique's products are fragrance free, because sometimes fragrances can further irritate the skin. Good luck!

I was going to mention that the Velocity is made primarily for teens. I don't use it anymore. I've switched to the 3-in-1 cleanser that's a toner, cleanser and exfoliant in 1. It's called Timewise and I get the kind for combination to oily skin. I love it because it's just one step so it's fast.

I spoke w/ a lady at the pharmacy in the higher end make up section and she recommended Benifit's "Hoolah". She says it's the only bronzer she's knows of that it is not sparkly or shiney at all, which apparently if you have oily skin it's recommended that you steer clear of any kind of shimmer.

Since I have NO IDEA about oily skin and the make up best suited for this skin type... I'm learning.. lol!

We'll try it and I'll let you all know if it's any good. It's not a cheap brand, but then I don't usually like to buy her cheap facial products. I love her and I want to help her take the best care for her skin...

The lady gave me a sample... so we haven't bought it yet... I'll let you's know if it's worth buying... ;)
