    Starting problems
    Hello,
We have a 1987 Regency RV with starting problems!. the battery charger says the house battery is 100% charged:)but when we go to start the rv... it doesn't start not even a click. But when we boost it from the booster it turns over, but won't start. Any suggestions as to what it may be?. Help:(

    Thanks,

Do you have two separate batteries (many RVs do)? They are usually tied together with an 'isolator' so that the engine can charge the 'living space' battery (interior lights, 12 volt electric outlets, if you have 'em, etc.) without the threat of draining the 'engine' battery. If you only have one, or have two but do not have an isolator, then using anything that needs electricity without the engine running can often drain the battery to the point that it cannot turn the engine over.

As to starting, does the engine run on gas or propane or diesel?

We have 3 batteries... one for starting the rv and 2 for the house that runs the lights etc. the main starting battery is on its own... it is a gas engine... it just won't start... its like its dead... but when we boost it from the booster it turns over.. but won't start.. its like something is stopping it from starting... the engine just quit for no reason and now it won't start... Help!!

OK... The engine will not run if there is no battery attached, OR if the battery is dead (won't take a charge). Could be that there is a wire that is shorted out, draining the battery. Could be that the 'house' batteries are not isolated and are sucking juice from the engine battery.
