Sink disposal will not turn off after was reset
I have a badger 5 sink disposal. I had it on when suddenly it stopped working. I unplugged it and pulled out a wash cloth but it wouldn't turn back on. I pushed the reset button and it started right back up but now it won't turn off. Any ideas?

There are two plugs in the outlet under the sink. The bottom outlet does not seem to be working (usually for the dishwasher) now either. I can't figure out what's wrong- if I need to change the outlet and then see if it works for if the reset button is just not working correctly. Thanks

The switch probably controls only half (sounds like the bottom half) of the outlet. Try the disposal in the bottom half and the dishwasher in the top half.

There is one eletrical outlet under the sick with two plug ins in the outlet. The one designated for the disposal now no longer works but the one for the dishwasher works fine if I plug in either appliance. Could I have burned out the switch on the wall?

The bottom outlet does not work at all. I tried plugging the dishwasher into that one and it doesn't work either. This was the outlet the disposal was originally in. The problem is that I can't turn the disposal off if I leave it plugged in.
