Guy, I know this sounds very "old" of me when I say this, because I used to complain about school all the time...

... seeing as I JUST got out of school... trust me when I say this.

... your BEST time in life, was probably in school.

Real life... stinks. Really... really... stinks.

As a matter of fact, I had an essay on 'Young people have more problems than adults. Do you agree?'

And I wrote about the stuff, you know and concluded that my life is good as it is now, and that I'm not ready for adulthood.

Oh I wish I could remain young all life...

    Don't we All?
I do wish I could go back in time and relive 8th grade... Best time of my life... Though I would still end up moving.
The problems with my generation is the fact that they overthink too much.

Haha... you loved 8th grade, well... when you're in college, you'll think, "God I wish I were in high school...these high school kids, what the heck are they complaining about?!? They got it SO easy!"

Then I realized, after college, I'm thinking, "God...I wish I were in college."

    Unky, I so don't agree.

Let's look at the facts. Young people have it all, a free roof over their head, free meals, clothes and all the luxuries they could desire. They go to school 6 hours a day, and most of that time is spent talking with their friends. They have school dances, pep rallies, and other functions, their biggest dilemma, getting a date and finding something to wear.

Now, granted, there are pressures on young people, drugs, sex, alcohol, to name a few. But, really, if you've got a good head on your shoulders, you should get out of high school relatively unharmed.

Now, take an adults life. A house (if you can afford it), clothes (if you can afford it), bills, bills, bills. You work 40 hours a week, there is no chatting with your friends, not if you want to keep your job. You'd love to go out, party, but most times you can't afford it. Your biggest dilemma is making sure you keep a roof over your head, keep your crappy job and have enough left over to maybe eat a meal once in a while.

Then you have kids, now you're no longer responsible for just one person, you can no longer slack off because this person relies on you for everything. Talk about stress.

Really Unky, Guy, these are the best years of your life, live it, love it, embrace it, because one day you'll look back and say, "Ah, life was so easy then". :)

Live is easy. Sit at home on weekends, Nap, drink diet soda's, the occasionsal walk, countless number of video games, and homework.

Instead of mall, party, trips, memories. Crap like that

I want to be able to in 10 or so years to be like "Man, we Did some crazy $hit back then, But it wall all worth it" instead of just "4 years wasted"

I know I keep preaching the same story, Its just something Yet I'll still can't overcome. Even when I do try. And get countlessessly shot down

    ... I couldn't agree more.

In school, you work hard, yes, I was there. I used to stay up all nights writing papers and studying. You do poorly, you get a bad grade. You move on. Life's not over. You sleep in, you miss a class, again... you move on. You're sick... it's OK. You. Move. On.

At work, you work hard (I work 80 hours a week, but thanks for rubbing the 40 hour workweek alty), come home, find bills stacked up, eat the lunch I made earlier in the day but didn't have a chance to eat, do some laundry, play with my dog, and stay up the rest of the night to catch up on "life"... phone calls, e-mails, and paperwork. You do poorly at your job, you get fired. You don't get paid. You sleep in and you're late, you don't get paid. You have a sick day, tough cookies.

Guy, you're only 15. Looking back and saying, "that was ridiculous" happens when you're in college.. . trust me on this.

In high school, I was in the IB program... pulled at least one all nighter a week for four years, etc. etc. etc.

College... is definitely the time I look back on and think, "Holy crap...I can't believe I'm still alive..."

    Sleep? What's that? ;)

How about you Sir Sneezy, did you get any shut eye? Poor boy, has to entertain women all night long, doesn't get any sleep.

That sounded wrong, didn't it? ;)

Well, if you can keep up with this 22 year old whippersnapper, ;)

I passed out around 9am this morning. Missed brunch. The girl seems angry about it. However, wouldn't you CALL someone if they didn't show up?. it's my fault. I'll buy her some ice cream.

Ice cream works in that situation?

You whippersnapper you. I think that will be your nick name. I'll call you whippy for short. ;)

Guy and Unky, really, you don't know how good you have it right now.

I know that you think that us oldies don't know anything, that being young today is so much harder than it was for us. Take my word for it, it isn't.

My teen years may have been a long time ago, gulp, over 20 years, but I remember them well, and I miss them still. Life was easy back then, but like you, I thought I had it pretty rough. Believe me, you'll get a rude awakening when you become an "adult".

Guy, I do look back and say "man I did some crazy $hit". That's not always a good thing.

By all means have fun, live life, but always think about your future. There's some crazy $hit that you can't take back. You'll just have to take my word for that. :)

Oh, if I didn't then I'm sorry Unky.

You know me, I just ramble on and on.

Besides, this young whippersnapper kept me up until the wee hours of the morning, my brain is functioning on 4 hours sleep. Actually, it's really not functioning at all. ;)
