Alfred Hitchcock? Eeeek, run Rex, run! Have you seen the movie "The birds", if not, don't now, wait till they leave.
All kidding aside, it's getting time to fly south for the winter (depending on where you live) or it could be a stopover on their way south (again depending on where you live). I wouldn't worry too much, they should leave soon. :)

Thanks guys but I found out later they came up here because there were people hunting ducks at the harbour near our house, and the gunshots probably just scared them.

I agree with Altenweg, the birds in the original novel were seagulls not blackbirds like in the film

Well the end of the world would explain why there was a massive murder of at least a hundred crows outside of my house last week. The seagulls probably found good picking in local trashcans as a side motivation. Those suckers will snatch your hand off if you try to eat anywheres near them.

I wish I could take a video of the blue jays around here, I can't leave the dor or cat food outside, because bluejays come and eat it piece by piece, its crazy.

The meanest birds I've ever come across are the Mocking birds around here. They attack ANYTHING they see just about including cats, dogs, squirrels, other birds, and occasionally people as well as several attempts on our moving vehicle, which thankfully have always been misses. There is even a hawk at a wildlife center that had its wing broken by a mocking bird that tackled it mid air. It didn't end well for that particular mocking bird either, but it just goes to show how little fear they seem to have.

I'd have to say that birds big and small freak me out. The humming birds go after rex sometimes because of his red harness.

I love humming birds now. Back when hurricane Rita hit there were flocks, or whatever hummingbird groups are called, around! There were enough of them to create a breeze when they were around me. I stood very still and put a finger out next to the feeder and had them land on my finger. It was so neat!! It was amazing to feel their tiny feet wrapped around my finger.

I love my pug pup, Annabelle, however lately she has been attacking me and wanting to play a lot, this is fine except that she tries to get my attention the wrong way by tugging at my pant legs and biting at my feet. I have tried flipping her over and scolding her and several other techniques, but...
