    Creditcard mess
    Hi,
I just got a letter from creditcard company that they where turning me over to 3rd party - I was wondering how long it takes for them to take that action and what this means- Would they seize monies in checking acct (rent money in there) right away or do I have to be informed of action- I intend to file chapter 7 as soon as I can get the money for attorney! Please help! Thanks

Ok, they turn it over to a collection agency who will call and bill you and harrass you for months normally.
Before they can "take any money" they will have to get a judgement against you by taking you to court.
