    Listing a company in stock exchange
    When I am starting a new company, what are all the procedures involved in listing my company in stock exchanges

    Companies are listed on stock exchanges when they sell stock. This means they have to be incorporated first. Second, they have to get a brokerage firm to file an IPO (Initial Public Offerring) where their stock is first offered to the public for sale. This involves a great deal of paperwork to satisify SEC reg.

    Generally startups are not the subject of IPOs. What usually happens is the company starts up, shows it's a viable business, then goes public.
