    Possible fracture to my foot.
So I went out looking all cute about a week and a half ago. I tripped and fell and busted up both my knees, got a huge cut in the top of my foot and I thought just bruised my foot. I had one of the physicians assistants at the hospital I work at look at 2 days afterwords. He noticed that two of the bones were tender, but didn't think it was broken.

To be on the safe side the nurses wrapped it and I got some crutches to stay off it because without insurance I couldn't afford an x-ray.

Well, the crutches just gave me more bruises (I think I'm slightly anemic on top of all of this) and my foot started to feel better. But the last couple days it has been swelling up to almost balloon like proportions at the end of the day and it goes down when I wrap it and put ice on it and stay off it for a few hours.

So my question is this: Could it be fractured possible, or is it just a bad injury and I should just grin and bear the crutches for a few days and see what happens?

Any advice would be great... thanks!

well, it Could be a hairline fracture. Can you take a day or two off and stay off it all day? It could be just standing and having the blood rushing to it causing it...

don't wait too long... you really should have an x-ray done
