98 Civic No Spark CEL on
The CEL stays on after two seconds. The fuel pump runs, but no spark, and the fuel pump stays on(doesn't shut off after two seconds) I've checked all fuses, none are blown. I have three distributors I've tried, three ecus, three main relays, two map sensors, and two ignition switches. I can get free parts from a salvage yard, so trying things out isn't a problem.
The car drove into my driveway, and I put a different head on it, and now no spark. When I run a jumper for the CEL blinks I get TDC sensor malfunction, but the distributors should have eliminated that. Parts of the harness have been spliced before, so it may be in that, but I have tried checking that all out. I have a multimeter and have tested a few things, any suggestions?

I disconnected the battery and tried again, and it is not throwing any codes now.

Since the fuel pump stays on after 2 seconds, I suspect the ECM may be bad. Try cleaning the main ECM ground, located on the thermostat housing. After that, perform the K-Test on the ECM.

I tested earlier and got .01 volts between D19 and d21. My distributor wires were spliced wrong at one point, would that cause it to blow three ecus? These were tested ecus. I did pass the K test on the map, but I'll try a new ecu and try cleaning the grounds tomorrow evening.

Cleaned the grounds on the t-stat housing and replaced ecu... same problem still.

"When you turn the ignition switch to ON (not START), does the Check Engine Light (CEL) come on and then go off after 2 seconds? If not, the problem is with the ACG (ALT) (S) fuse, in the under-dash fuse/relay box; ECM (perform the K-Test); Main Relay; or the Ignition Switch. Perform tests in that order."

I've already stated that it does continue to stay on, in my first post, and that I have replaced all of those items with known working parts.

Your electrical system is so screwed up, then, that only you may be able to stumble upon a solution. Good luck!

I replaced the engine wiring harness with a similar one, and it started. Thanks for the input.
