    Rights For a Father
My boyfriend has a son in which the mother hid his birth from him last Septemeber. Unknowing, she also did not put his name on the birth certificate. This is the sitaution, for the past year and during the pregancy, the mother has been going back and forth from allowing him to be involved and not allowing him to be involved. All year messages have been sent back anf forth, the mother will only allow him to see his child IF he will be together with her again. She is using this child as bait in order to have a relationship with my boyfriend ( messages are saved as proof). I have stayed out of this, as I should, he's not my husband so I have no right to intervene, legally. But I do want to know is there anything he can do to get the rights of this child legallyy so he doesn't have to play her little games. She is 26 he is 19.. 17 when the child was conceived. Threatening messages are given to him constatnly about myself and him, if he tries contacting her she threatens him she will call the police, she continually says its yours, its not yours, she has physically touched him, we have pictures to prove it but the cop said he would go to jail if he filed a report... he needs help because he reallly wants to see his child but we don't even know where to start now that its been a year.
I would like to know the steps besides after paternity testing--- on what to do. We are afraid that what will happen is because its been a year the judge won't be so gracious--

The first thing your boyfriend must do is go to Court and ask for paternity testing and visitation.

Depending on how that works out... he takes the next step.
