    Default Judgement
    I received a summons of default judgement for a truck that I have that still has a balance, I need more time to settle this matter what should I do? Do I request a contiuance?

    I'm a little confused about what you received.

    Something telling you there is a default judgement against you (which happens when you don't appear to defend yourself.)

    Or

    You received a notice that someone is seeking a judgement against you. If may say that if you don't appear they will receive a default judgement.

    You always have the right to appear at the hearing and present your case and defend yourself. If you owe the debt they will likely be awarded the judgement against you. You can call the clerk of court and ask if there's a process to push back the hearing date...
