We are in USA, we file for Canada immigration from USA .we Got a Medical Done from USA but after a Month My Wife got a additional medical inquiry, But at That time She was in India, I called up NY Consulate and they said it is OK to get additional Medical Done from India as my wife was in India at that time. She did her Additional Medical Done in India , As Sputum Test Take At least 6 – 8 Weeks and then need to Take X ray .So this Additional Medical Took Almost 3 months and From India DMP sent the Document to Canada on April 29 ’08 and it reached Canada on MAY 2nd ’08.
Here is the Problem Its been almost 4-5 months I didn’t receive any updates from NY Consulate, So I did inquiry about my File Status, they Reply me back Below Mentioned thing

Dear Sir/Madam:

Please be advised that the Health Management Branch in Ottawa reports they
have not yet received the final results of the medical examination.

Please allow additional time for processing an overseas medical.

Thank you for your interest in Canada.


My Confusion here is they said Health Management Branch Ottawa didn’t received final medical Examination, so my concern or you can say Confusion is did they mean they not received the DMP medical Report from India becoz DMP from India had sent medical paper on April 29th 08 and Reached Canada on MAY 2nd 08 or they mean there Internal Report regarding My wife medical Examination, becoz in later sentence they are saying “Please allow additional time for processing an overseas medical”
So should I interpret it that they have received the medical , but they medical officer has not completed the medical process ,so they are advising me to allow additional time for the process
Or
They Didn’t Received my wife Medical yet from DMP India.



As I got all proof like the receipts from DMP from India and Tracking Number of Courier through which they sent the document.
Also the Information about the Person who signed the document in Canada to received my wife Medical.

Please help me to do the Interpretation and also suggest me what to do if they miss placed my Wife Medical document , becoz my one Year Medical Time is getting Over in DEC 08 for me and my Family , so if we didn’t received any thing we have to undergone for medical for whole family again.

Don't waste your time arguing... send a copy of what you've send or if it's expired, get a new one.

So do u advice me to send all the proof and tracking number to them with a person name and address where the document is delivered.

This problem is normal and it happens regularly especially at office with heavy workload. Since you have a copy of all documents, just send another copy. If you keep arguing, it will delay the case... and if you could not win by the time the document is expired, not only case delayed but you probably have to pay for a new medical exam.

To me it sounds like they are saying that they still haven't processed your medical examination because it was from overseas. That's what they may mean when saying they haven't received the final results, it's still in processing.

I would call just to make sure, because that letter is poorly written and contradictory.

I am a medical doctor and understand your problem. In your wife case, she is having calcification in X-ray, which is not a problem, but for immigration purpose, it has to be proved that 3 sputum samples are free from TB bacteria on 8 week cultures and 2 X-rays taken at 3 months intervel should show unchanged appearance.
Now your first doctor missed finding, so CHC asked for re-medical. I feel your secon doctor supposed to send re-medical to your visa processing office, but he send it to Canada. Now visa processing office'doctor unable to get your X-ray to finalize your case.

Actually the Letter which Came for Additional Medical has clearly mention a Address for Ottawa to sent the Document and they will do the Evaluation and sent the Report to NY Consulate.
But the way they Sent me a Reply is very confuseing.
I am not sure did they receive the Report or not, but when I did inquery from DMP - India they said they sent all the Requried work , Also I called Courier guy , they gave me the information about the person who sign the document and the Address they delivered the Document.

IS THE PROBLEM BECOZ OF THE TWO DIFFERENT DMP , BECOZ THE ORIGINAL MEDICAL IS FROM USA AND THE ADDITIONAL IS FROM INDIA.
DO THEY CONSIDER THE MEDICAL FROM TWO DIFFERENT DMP ?

I am very confuse , I will send them the proff of recepit of Medical test conducted in india and the tracking number with a person information who accept the Document.

I wish all go fine with my Process.
