I have a soni sure shot camera and the lens is stuck. When I turn the camera on the lens stays in the closed position. How do I fix this?

F you mean the shutter mechanism won't open, I've dealt with a few of these and most times all that's needed is a good knock (google it and you will see that it works in nearly all cases) and it will work again, don't be afraid to hit it hard as you won't break anything. Just don't hit it around the lcd as that might crack the screen

Ps. If its in warranty get it repaired through that otherwise try my technique

If your camera is under warranty, send it in for repair. If it is no longer under warranty, here is a website that gives you a series of steps you can try to resolve the lens error:

If none of those fixes work, your camera is probably a goner - these cameras are usually too expensive to repair that you are better off putting your money towards the purchase of a new camera.
