    GE water valve wiring
    I have a GE Refrigerator and I replaced the water valve with out marking the wires. I have a red plug and a clear plug. Which on is for the ice maker and water dispenser. The model number is TPX24SIBBBS.:confused:

    If comfortable with electric, insert volt meter into each plug, press the "water button", see which has voltage. Depending on how wired/switched, reversing plugs may cause reverse actions, (water button produces ice/ ice button produces water).
    I would use a volt meter.

    Just plug them in. If water comes out ice maker when you try to get water out of the dispenser, you have the backwards. Switch them. If water comes out dispenser, you are done.
