Al-Quran is a quidance for those, who have taqwa, and the meaning of taqwa is loving God the most -so you will want Him to love you and you will make effort by obeying Him and doing extra voluntary worship as well, and you will be scared that He will be angry with you, so you will make yourself far from disobeying Him, and things that may lead to it. Then the Quran is your guide how to achieve it. And if you achieve it, you will attain Paradise, and be saved from Hell Fire. I`m not promising you will have a nice life. That`s just wordly affairs. But your life will be good and pure.
Number one thing that Thq Book of Allaah is guiding you to, is tawHeed, which is the true meaning and appliance of a monotheistic life. This is what all of The Prophets -peace be upon them- have ordered to, but other sources have been distorted, and new religions have been invented, and people have started to worship creation -in fact the very people who ordered them to worship Allaah Alone- beside Him! E.g. christians associate Jeesus Son of Mary as a god beside God, as a son of God, as a part of God etc. And this is why it`s forbidden to make images, or to wear amulets in Islam, like christians make icons and wear a cross in their neck. And they are loving Jesus with the love that is due only to God. Similar is the case with hindus and so on. And this is what the Prophet MuHammad -may Allaah elevate his mentioning and send him peace- warned us of by saying: "Don`t go into extremes concerning me, as the christians went into extremes concerning `Iisaa Ibn Maryam. Verily I am only a slave and a messenger. So say `Abdullaahi wa Rasuuluhu (a Slave of God, and His Messenger)."
