Losing water in bowl, and paper shreds and some comes back?
Hi everyone: what a great sight, it's my first time doing this so here goes. I wish I had a science or a math question but no. I have an intermittent problem with losing water in our main floor toilet. It's 4 years old, and this is an on and off situation. I did go on the roof and run a hose down the stack earlier this year and it made no difference at that time. The problem seemed to rectify itself and was fine for 4 months and now it's down again? My unit is an American Standard Toilet Canadian Tire!
And when flushing some of the paper comes back shredded, I then have to flush again?
Should I get a new toilet and if so what's a good brand. Thanks

    Hey Froggy,
The first thing I would do is to purchase a closet auger,(see image) from your local hardware store and auger the bowl. Let me know what you find.
    Good luck, Tom
