Is this legal and if so why the hell is it?
My husband has been suffering from what we know now to be bi polor ,he has been on probation for a while now and po is so un caring and what I see to be a huge control freak... she is not helping husband at all...
After many attempts to try to get help by complaining trying to discuss with po about his unbearing depression and suicide azttepts and thoughts he has gotten any response or help from her or councelors and programs he's sent to...
Seeing he was getting dangerously worse and another suicide attempt I had finally gotten him to see the danger he's to himself and we needed to seek some help on our own..
We went to mental health and they immediately admitted him to a mental facility for diagnosis, monitoring and treatment happily we finally had help he was diagnosed with bipolor and was beginning treatment for this...
Until probation officer came into facility ,embarrassing and taking any hope from him and said he was a treat to society and threw him in jail for 30 days of descretionary time
Can they do that come deny hin medical treatment and stop any treatment dr was prescribing...
He is not violent ,harm to society and is in a horrable state because ouse of this
If not legal how do I go about getting him out and back to ttreatment he so much needs,
This is ridiculous and we will be requesting anew probation officer due to her lack of professionalism or care to help him get better life going
\ how can she do this where do I go for help what procedure should I go

    Please help!

    Hello kay:

You need a lawyer. You CANNOT do this on your own.

Absolutely agree - you need an Attorney and possibly an emergency Court order.

You most definitely need an attorney. The hospital he was in is (in the US anyway), is prohibited from giving out any information on ANY patient without the patient's implied and expressed consent. This very possibly may be a HIPAA violation on the part of the hospital.
