How to remove wrong color stain from cedar siding?
I purchased the same brand stain as previous owners but after applying it to 4 boards, can now see it is the wrong color. Have now found right color. How do I get the darker stain back off my cedar siding?

What kind of stain was it, oil / latex? Probably have to sand it off if the proper solvent won't work.

Behr makes a deck stain stripper that might help. What's going againist your is this is so fresh it has soaked well into the wood fiber. Mother nature, in a few years, will make it easier but I know that's not an option here. Behr.com: Products - Premium Stain & Finish Stripper No. 64-N
