    Functions equation
A ball is thrown upward from the roof of a 25 m building. The ball reaches a height of 45 m above the ground after 2 s and hits the ground 5 s after being thrown.

    a) State the domain and range of the function.

    b) Determine the equation for the function.

Can you picture it on a graph? The ball reaches its max height of 45 in 2s. On a distance/time graph, the max of a curve will be (2, 45). It is thrown from a height of 25m, so another cordinate, (0, 25) and finally, hits the ground after 5s, so cordinate (5, 0). You can fit in a graph. The domain is given by the horizontal length of the curve, and the range, the vertical length of the curve.

If you could do the fitting of a graph, you would already have an equation. Post back if you have difficulties, I'll be here (others too!) to guide you.
