    I guess it depends on the state or the lender. My neighbors didn't pay their mortgage for almost a year before the Sheriff came and evicted them.

    It can take anywhere from a couple of months to a year or more. Like the PP stated, it depends on where you're located, and most importantly your mortgage holder. If you live in a state where the time frames are short and you have a very tenacious lender it can be as short as a couple of months from missed payment to the courthouse steps.

    Yes, just depends on the lender, I have seen a few in as few as 3 months, but had one that went over a year before they finally foreclosed
