    Giving up parental rights
I legally have custody of my 17 year old son but he lives with his dad. He doesn't go to school and they are coming down on me for it of course. I need to know how I can give up my parental right s quickly because he will be 18 soon and I know the courts are slow. His father lets him do whatever he wants and has been a bad influence in my kids' life since they were small. I can't make my 17 year old do anything especially go to school.

Forget it. What you want to do is modify the custody agreement if he's now living with the father. No court is going to allow you to relinquish your rights, especially since it will be moot soon. So just get the father acknowledged as the custodial parent.
