Just fine Starty. I was worried all day, and then little princess came home all bright eyed and bushy tailed. I asked how her how she's feeling, "Great mom, I had a fun day!". Why you little... ;)

All that for nothing, but I'm glad. :)

    Night Starty.

Yes Rebbie, it surely is. Funny how they can make us worry all day because of a few tears. I guess that's love. :)

Yep!! That's love! Even today, if my kids get upset or seem distraught, I feel the same way I did way back then! My daughter is not quite 5' 2" and my son is 6' 2" but they are and will always will be my babies!!

I feel the same way and now I understand why my parents never stopped treating me like a child, because I was their child, no matter how old I got. When I hurt, they hurt, when I was sad, they were sad, when I was angry, they wanted to step in and fight for me. The most wonderful thing they ever did was let me stand on my own two feet, fight my own fights, wipe my own tears and mend my own hurts. I know it was hard for them, but that's what true love is. :)

I hope I have the strength to do the same for my two when the time comes. Remember though, you may stand back and let them walk on their own two feet, but no matter what, you'll always be there to catch them when they fall. My parents did that too. :)

Alty, your parents gave you one of the greatest gifts in life, they allowed you to stand on your own two feet and fight your own battles and that allowed you to be able to be strong within yourself! That is not easy for a parent to do but one of the greatest gifts to give a child. What a blessing and a great legacy they gave to you and now, you are giving to your little ones, bit by bit. We can't do it all at one time but baby steps toward allowing them to become their own person!!

I find that "Mama Bear" still rears her head at times when my children are upset but I do try to temper that with a huge dose of listening ears and a tiny bit of advice if asked!! LOL

Rebbie, Mama Bear is always present, but you have to learn the sheath your claws once in a while. :) It's hard though, I'm always ready to strike when my cubs are in trouble.

:: poof, bounce, bounce, bounce:: crap, I'm a bunny again. Hey, I have a cotton tail, cute. :)
