    Well make it simpler first by multiplying out the brackets(i.e simplyfying ), then all you have to do is get rid of the fractions, should be obvious then but post again with your working if still stuck :)

    i multiplied it out and got 1 Then i found gcd and it's 8. then i tried multiplying it -- x - .5 4by the 1st term and i don't know how what to do with the three.
    gcd?
    when I did it I got
    6x + x -2 = 40 (I multiplied each item by 4 to get rid of the fractions)

    this goes to
    7x = 42

    tell me if your wondering how and ill explain it step by step :)
