1999 Dodge 370,000 miles ticks when cold
1999 Dodge Intrepid 2.7 v-6 370,000 miles, yes 370,000 original miles,I was wondering if a lifter is going, but when it warms up it is fine,I thought if it was the lifters it would do it all the time.

It's still possible that the lifters are worn and leaking down, even with overhead cams.
Another possibility is the engine may have become worn and you're hearing either "piston slap" or main or rod bearing tick.
This would be best diagnosed by someone in your area, but call around and ask for references. I'd also recommend more than one opinion.
