    Wife and child abandonmet
My husband left in the middle of the night when my daughter was 3 weeks old she is now 6 months and 1 week. He didn't tell me he was leaving.. I was under the impression that everything was OK. I had to call several people to find out where he was. When I finally found where he was, he told me he was leaving and wanted a divorse. But would not tell me the reason why. I was wondering if that was considered abandonment. And if there is anything I can do about it.He left without telling me why or where he was going.I was in the middle of my maternity leave with a bunch of bills and back bills and no way to pay them. I had to leave my home and go to a relatives. He then didn't want to see my daughter until she was a month and a half. He denys that my daughter is his.he would see her once a week or every other week, until she was 4 months old. Then he was starting a lot of problems and threatened to take my daughter from me so he wasn't to bring anybody with him and then he refused to come see her... then he filed for divorse.I then tried to call him when I was told the news and he told me not to talk to him to talk to his lawyer. I told him then not to callme anymore and he wasn't going to see my daughter till it was court ordered. So he had not called for 2 months, and then called once to see her.I haven't returned his phone call. What exactly do you make of the situation? He has a lot of problems.Sexual and he was also going to a mental facility for counseling. And some of his family members have recently asked me if he has ever hurt a child sexually.I am very scared that if he ever got alone with my daughter that he would take the oppertuniy and do something to her. What can I do?

    Hi nattysmom08,

You have a lot of things going on here, the fact that he says he isn't the father of your baby says maybe that was why he left... but in the middle of the night!! suggests some sort of panick mode.
You say he has some mental instability which from your post indicates some sort of sexual act, if this is the case then until it is sorted out ,no way must he have access to your daughter, no matter what he threatens.

You must seek out a solicitor/lawyer who will, after hearing your story advise you on your legal rights.

If he contacts you again, tell him he must speak through you legal adviser and not direct to you, always keep your daughter in your sight as it only takes a few seconds too snatch her, quite honestly I do not consider he is of a stable mind right now, so on no account agree to meet him alone or other wise.

Please see a lawyer as soon as possible .

    Goodluck.

What does your Attorney say and what is your Attorney doing? You said you have been served with papers - ?

Go to Court and file for support and sole custody, no visitation or supervised visitation, and take your proof he is dangerous with you.

If your husband might be dangerous you must move quickly.

(If he has already sued you I wouldn't worry about grounds for divorce. He's the one who needs grounds. He filed. You just need to respond.)
