What State? Every State is different - it's almost impossible without an Attorney.

States have very different policies on expungement. Some states may exclude the possibility of expungement, others may limit its availability to people who have no more than one criminal conviction on their records, while others may be more generous. You will also be required to have been discharged from your sentence for a considerable period, without further legal incident. You will need to investigate the policies of the jurisdiction which issued the conviction or convictions, in determining whether you are eligible for expungement.

Each state is different plus you will have to put at least 8+ years between you and the date of conviction before even an attorney can attempt to have your crime expunged. There are also several factors involved as well, not just the time factor. Also, this is not just a quick thing here either. It can take up to 6 months for this to happen so I hope you are not in any big hurry.

Sorry.. there is no self-help for this one. You need an attorney.

Dog given to me for free [ 1 Answers ]

Hi I just wanted some feedback regarding how I should go about writing up a contract that will prove that a dog that was just recently given to me is mine.
