    Hiding from abusive ex
    Hello,
I was in a short relationship with this guy who ended up being emotionally, physically and mentally abusive. I left getting a restraining order and being pregnant at the time. Still pregnant I am scared he will find me and sue me for custody and visitation rights to his child. I am so scared! I do not want anything to do with this person and I know in my heart my baby will be better off not having anything to do with the father as well. He drinks heavily and does many drugs. I don't drink or do any drugs at all. I wasn't aware of his situation before I became involved with him. I want a happy and healthy life for my baby, no bad influences. Not only he threatens to take the baby and run to another state. Legally, what can I do to stop him from pursuing me and the baby? I am so scared! Should I hide forever from this guy?

Read some of the other threads and you will learn a lot. Basically, unless you can prove the drugs (him being arrested would be good) or that he will be a danger to the child there isn't much you can do if he goes to court for visitations. You probably don't want to hear it but you chose the baby's father the minute you decided you were ready to have a sexual relationship with him. If he goes to court for a court ordered DNA test and it comes back showing he is the father he will have rights (visitation maybe supervised at first) and responsibilities (child support).
