    4th root of (3x^4 x y^2):

    Remember: 4th root x^a = x^(a/4)

    nth root of x^m = x^(m/n)

5th root of (ab) = (fifth root of a)(fifth root of b)

We are discouraged from solving homework questions, so I am going to solve a problem similar to yours, so that you can solve your particular problem:

    6th root of (6x^6 times y^3)

    = (6x^6)^1/6 (y^3)^1/6

    = 6^(1/6) (x^6)^1/6 (y^3)^1/6

    = 6^(1/6) x y^(3/6)

    = 6^(1/6) x y^1/2
