    Put in new cartridge, water won't shut off.
    Had a leaky faucet, so I put in a new cartridge and now no matter which way I turn the faucet the water will not shut off. Any help is much appricated. Thank You.

    Shut off the main and pull the cartridge. Read the install spec carefully regarding which side is the top of the cartridge and must point up. What brand are you working with?

    Id like to add that while you have the cartride out make sure its working properly, opens and closes.Some times they are faulty.Also make sure that when you replace the fawcett handel the screw is on proper and not stripped, that will cause you not to be able to turn off the water,it will just spin on the new splin on the cartridge.Make sure cartridge is screwed down all the way to so it seats properly.
