    Accounting work sheet
    I am having a problem balancing my debits and credits on my work sheet. What is the best way to solve this?

    Go old school. Use T accounts

    Put the accounts into a trial balance.. debits on the left and credits on the right.. then add up the debits and look at the number, then add up your credits.. look at thie difference and go from there..

    Also what helps me is start completely over from scratch and make sure each time you do an entry that the debit matches the credit.. go very slowly... and use T-accounts like Daniel said..

    Are you having trouble remembering which ones are added and subtracted?

    Remember for assets-you add on the debit side and subtract the credit
    Liabilities-you add on the credit side and subtract on the debt
    Income-add on the credit subtract on debit
    Expenses- add on debit, subtract on credit
