    Bad gas?
Hi thanks, I have a troy built 5550 generator with a briggs & stratton 10hp. It sat too long. I drained the tank and lines, removed air filter and carb cover, new plug, cleaned out the little jets with a needle and it still won't start. Well it starts on starter fluid and runs for a few seconds. No fuel right? What else should I do? Ps I am a Florida resident, hurricane this week again thnks for any info.

Did you check the operation of the float and needle valve? When the float is down gas should dribble into the bowel, when its up the gas should stop 100%.
