Need opinions on (any year) toyota tacoma
Hey drivers. I need some help in my truck search. I'm starting to like the 2008 tacoma but any year will float my boat as long as I got a cd player and I can get the bed extender- chances are my first truck ainte going to be a new one. Also, I want the double cab... what I need from you is an evaluation on your tacoma. I did all the research for the statistics and whatnot, but I want to see what actual drivers of the tacoma say about its "down" spots in the consumers magazine...

And just so you know what I'm aiming for- I want 4 wheel drive, double cab, short bed with bed extender... like I said almost any year

So mainly what I'm looking for is
-hows the comfort of the seats? (along with backseats for a double cab)
-hows the ride? Stiff, bumpy, but tolerable?
-they say the position of the front seat is uncomfortable... is that true for you? And how is it uncomfortable?
    -loud engine?
-how is it in the mountains? I'm going to be using my future truck to carry snowboards and dirt bikes.
-there a lot of room in the backseat with double cab?
    -hows the audio system?
-how would you rate the tacoma from 1-5 and why
-would you recommend the toyota tacoma?

Any other problems or comments with your truck let me know I appreciate it..

How about from the horse's mouth? It's #5 Truck. Hands down. Great in all categories. You must get the V6. The 4 bangger won't cut it.
Get a late model someone has to sell because they're boo-hooing about gas prices and they want a Prius.
Get the TRD package, crank the awesome tunes and head out, dude.

I don't have one but I have friends who do and they are extremely pleased with the Tacoma. I would think you would have to look hard to find a used one. Theowner satisfaction is so high, who's getting rid of one unless they are looking at hybrids as

Consumers Report had an interesting article comparing the 5 year cost of a new car with the 5 year cost of 1,2 and 3 yr old used cars. In most cases, the savings are in the 8 to 10 thousand dollar range. Even if the newer vehicle is more fuel efficient, those savings will buy a lot of gas.

On occasion, about once a day, when I go to start the truck, nothing will happen. Shut the key off and try again and it will start fine. The battery is only 4 months old and is always strong. Does this sound like a ground or corroded terminal on starter? Any other suggestions
