    Could I
    Hi, I got pregnant in December 2007 with identical twins, when I was five months may 6, 2008 at my dr visit they had both died. I went through labor to get them here they were born may 8. me and my husband are now trying again, what are my chances of having twins again, I can't go through that again?

    So sorry to hear of your loss and can understand your concern. Twins can tend to run in families when the mother has the genetic make-up that causes her to have a higher level of specific hormones that induce egg production. This is also the cause of older women having a higher incidence of twins. This is for fraternal twinning however.
    Repeating identical twins is pretty unusual, but there is some thought that there may be a male component to it. If there tends to be identical twins on the father's side, there could be a slight increase in the possibility. The majority of the time it is just a chance occurrence. I wish you well in your future pregnancy.
