    What is the best product to remove black tar( adhensive) from 1920's hardwood floor?
    What is the best product( stripper) on the market to remove balck tar( adhensive) from solid wood floor? Home built in 1920's. Help!

    How much tar are you talking about? A small spot or a large area?

    We had some tar from linoleum floors on our hardwood floors. My wife used a scraper (like a wallpaper scraper) along with an adhesive remover from Home Depot (can't remember exact name, sorry). It came off pretty easily. Then I sanded the floors and everything else came up. Stained and poly the floors and they're like new. If I can find the old can, or remember the name of the adhesive remover, I will repost here with that info.
