Want to install a bar sink
Hi there, new to the site, going to try it out. I'm adding a bar sink to my basement but I have no vents or drains around it. It's in the oppostite corner. What's the easiest way to make this work? Thanks

First check with your building inspector to see if they allow an air admittance valve (AAV.) This might makes things a lot easier and cheaper. I assume "it's in the oppostite corner" means its far from the sewer pipe. You might look into a sealed, vented tank that can pump the drain water overhead to the nearest sewer drain like a condensate pump. Again ask your inspector what they will allow.

The easiest way would be to position your bar sink near a stack vent (within 5 feet) and install a AAV just downstream from the trap. (see image) Good luck, tom

Is it easy to install additional sink [ 1 Answers ]

How would I install an additional sink in a 1 sink bathroom? There is plenty of room, as far as counter space. How easy or difficult is it to install a new pipe that leads to the additional sink? The counter is made of wood so it would be easy to cut out the sinkhole.
