Will Obama or McCain be a good president when it comes to foreign relations and the economic system

Obama! Both on foreign relations and economy. It's called communication and diplomacy, something that the stubborn and ignorant rarely comprehend. That being said, if a person likes more of the same slow sluggish economy of trickle down economics and poorly ran tactics of wars that risk generations of our young men and women unnecessarily... by all means vote McSame.

Last night Obama gave the most appropriate speech with the best presentation, that I've ever heard from a presidential candidate accepting nomination. He topped Reagan. Obama's running an educated campaign. It was blatantly obvious for those paying attention to current events and are unbiased, that the US doesn't need nor should want John McCain (Bush crony) anywhere near the White House after the upcoming election.

All the educated Republicans should be jumping ship about right now. John McCain is the Republican version of Walter Mondale, as is Sarah Palin is now their Geraldine Ferraro. I saw on CNN that the reaction is not favorable for McCain's VP pick. It's already having a backlash among the far majority of the once ardent Hillary Democrats and even some moderate Republican women. Apparently John McCain has insulted all women across America with his last minute desperate measure to expose his skirt VP selection. John McCain is not fit to serve burgers at the local Sonic, with or without skates.

Prior to becoming Governor of Alaska, Palin was the mayor of a town of less than nine thousand people. People need to realize the total population of the State of Alaska is about the size of one mid size city, for example Austin (Texas). Meaning Palin actually has no experience or understanding of the complexity of large inner city issues, such as hard drugs trafficking and gang crime. John McCain has only met Palin once before. Once! This is the single most important decision a presidential candidate can make and the seventy-two year old John McCain blew it on a salmon fishing caribou herder that was chairman down at the local Moose lodge.

Toronto is going to have a population swell of new citizens, if we continue to blindly elect Republican presidents. Americans are so worried about illegal aliens from Mexico... well I got news for you! Canada might end up being the country building a fence to keep the US out. :)

One has been involved in matters related to foreign policy either working for the Navy as liaison to the US Senate or in the US Senate holding positions in key foereign policy matters since 1977... McCain

The other was a "comminity organizer" whatever that is ;who's single claim to foreign policy before entering the US Senate in 2006 was making an obscure speech opposing the war in Iraq. In the US Senate he was given the chair of the Senate Foreign Relations subcommitee on European Affairs(which has some oversight on NATO). But he has been campaigning for the Presidency since he entered the US Senate ;only staying in the building long enough to find his office and the Mens Room. He has held no committee hearings at all about NATOs role in Afghanistan even though he claims to want to expand their role and ours in the fight.Joe Biden when he was running against Obama in the primaries pointed out that Obama had borrowed some of Biden's ideas about the Afghan conflict and had been late to arrive at those positions. Biden said that not only had Obama held no hearings in his own subcommitee ;but that Obama had rarely attended even the full Senate Foreign Relations Committee hearings. NATO has not lived up to it's commitments in Afghanistan but Obama continues to blame President Bush .

There is no question in my mind that McCain would be heads and shoulders above Obama in areas of foreign relations.

Neither of them impress me much in their knowledge of the economy .However I have seen Obama's advisers in action and prefer the advice McCain is getting from his economic team.Obama gave us a laundry list of new programs he would initiate during his acceptance speech . Then he promised a massive tax cut and claimed he would pay for his programs by imposing punitive taxes on businesses . That is a recipe for economic disaster.
