Me and my husband have been married since 2005 and in 2006 he committed adultery and got this woman pregnant and she had an abortion, then in 2007 he committed adultery with my niece and several others. He has started calling me names and since we moved back here to Ga it has been worse because it is new territory and he is very rude to me. I definitely want to leave but I can't seem to get any help from family and I can't get a job because I am a convicted felon. Any advice or do anyone know where I can get help before it get any worse.

I am so glad you have decided to leave this man,he is no good and never will be, how dare he treat you that way, in my opinion your doing the right thing.

There must be oganizations that can help you, have a look on the webb and see what you can find, you say you're an exfellon,is there help for when you re-start your life again? There must be places that you can go when you leave your husband if no family will help!

I'm taken it your in the usa, I am in uk so have limited knowledge of how the system works over there, but in the uk there are advice centres that give all kinds of helpful info,there has to be similar things in the usa.. local organizations.

Look for centres for homeless or maybe you have a connection with an old probation officer who could give you some advice.

Hopefully someone from the usa will come on and be able to give you all the information that you need for you to make a new start.

Keep applying for a job. The more applications you fill out and the more job ads you answer means that you are that much closer to getting a job. Just because you are a felon means nothing. You can get a job. I know you can. You just have to keep trying. A lot of people are out of work right now, but anyone who truly wants to work can generally get a job. This will be your one step toward personal freedom from him. There are companies, usually the smaller ones, that sometimes don't even have you fill out an application, but use a resume instead. Get a good resume worked up (leaving out the felon part of course) and see how far that will get you.
