I read online that a blood test can't detect pregnancy till 8-10 days and a home pregnancy test 10 -18 days. I really think that its to soon the answer ept says you can test up to for days before your period is due. I've read that the egg doesn't implant until anywhere from 5 to 10 days therefor the hormone isn't produced till after implantation. I think it was just to soon still.

I was actually thinking the same thing, my LMP was 11-12 aug I ov`d on cd 18-19, I had intercourse the day before ovulation & the day after... id been charting my bbt but hadn't got a clue how to read my chart than my mate pointed out when I ovulated & I realized id timed it pretty well lol... now I'm feeling sick to my stomach & dizzy but that's as far as my symptoms go I am a little ratty (which just isn't me)... what do you think? Is it too early? Because I know sum people can feel signs pretty early but everyone different isn't they

any help would be appreciated

I'm feeling a bit upset as I went to my GP yesterday to get results from a blood test I had done for my progesterone level and it came back fine he even said my hormones are that high I could be pregnant-but now I'm getting period pains and have taken an early pregnancy test 4 days early and its negative-do you think its true that you can only take them on the very first day of a missed period??

A first response early pregnancy test can pick up you being pregnant 4 days before your period is due... but not every1`s pregnancy is picked up on this

If that don't work wait till your period is due at the end of the week

I can't help but notice all of these questions about early pregnancy tests and implantation bleeding, ovulation days, and precisely counted days before and after having sex. For safetys sake ladies, see a doctor. Even if it is at the most embarrassing health department doctor ever. Taking good care of yourselves will help make sure that you are healthy enough to carry a baby and it will give the one that you finally do conceive a better chance at life.
