I would like to assume that there will be opportunities for you to get involved in plays and musical plays at the high school that you will be attending. Will there be those kinds of opportunities there?

    Thanks!

You can do school plays and use every opportunity you can to speak and act in public .

If your area has comedy clubs and you can come up with a good skit go for something like that. Volunteer at places where you might have a chance to preform or speak publicly.
Start as an extra, like one of the crowd, in movies if they come to your area.
My neighbor does that. Where I live they film a good bit of movies here.
