    Fuse boxes
Hi how do you connect the fuse box in your house to the fuse box in your new garage? Already have the wire run to the garage. Cheers John

You'd need a breaker in your main panel sized for the load of the subpanel in the garage. The elec code (NEC) specifies how many amps are required, based on the circuits in the subpanel. Code will also specify wire sizing based on amperage. It is very important that wire is sized correctly. Home-Depot /Lowes and the like have a lot of info, but if you're not familiar with wiring principles you should have an electrician involved. Some states or localities may require only licensed contractors do electrical work, but if you're technically inclined it's actually pretty easy to do yourself.
