Removing a starter from a MTD riding mower.
How do you remove a starter.. I noticed the positive is on the side.. easy enough.. there are two screws under the starter.. is this how you would remove it? I don't see any other screws on it.. help!

If it is a twin cylinder engine, then one bolt is easy to remove, but the other one is under the flwheel. Take your time, use and open-ended wrench, and just go slow. There is no need to remove the flywheel, it is too labor intensive for just one bolt. I have worked on mine so much that I can do it with my eyes closed. Hope this helps.
