    How long can you be held on a probation hold? Like how many days? Months? Years?

    Hello baby:

    A probation violator can be held as long as the original sentence.

    If you're asking how long a violator can be held in a different county or state waiting for the cops to come get him, it really depends on how long the different county or state WANTS to spend money holding the violator and waiting. Of course, the cops may NEVER come, and maybe the new state or county will get tired of keeping them there.
