    Central heating and air
    My central air unit quit on me tonight. It made a loud pop and quit and I checked all the breakers . Now My thermostat is blank and I can't even get the fan to come on manuely

    If you have a volt meter you should start by checking for power at your furnace, you didn`t say if you had gas or electric furnace,, with gas ,should be 120 volts with elect. Should be 230 volts,you might have a blown transformer in furnace, it is the power sourse for the tstat and also sends low voltage to run all the controls, including the a/c,, let us know

    Check all breakers going to the blower section side of the system. Turn the breaker all the way to off and the back to on see if that helps.

Good Day, I recently changed my thermostat from a White Rogers to a Hunter programmable model 44260. I connected the system myself and now realize that the heat is not coming out of the vents. The fan is blowing but cool air. I have six wires coming out of the wall plus a jumper on the thermostat....

My Central units fan just hums most of the time. Only set on heat. If I have the cooling on, it runs fine. But if I turn on the heat, it just hums, sounds stuck. Most of the time I can get it going by switching from AUTO to ON (for the FAN), can someone please help:confused:
