    Retrieve XP registration Key at boot
    My computer is asking for the XP key, I haven't got it, how can I retrieve the key when the computer is turned on.

    If it needs the key, that means it doesn't know the key.
    I assume that it won't let you into windows until you activate it?

    Your XP key is located on a tag on the bottom/side of your computer. Every legitimate XP installation includes this sticker and it must be there if your software is genuine and legal. Look for the tag, it's there.
