Finding a bank for my social security direct deposit
I am having trouble finding a bank to open a checking account for direct deposit of my social security check. I am 64 and disabled and my credit is ruined due to not being able to work for 6 years and divorce. Bank of America and Wells Fargo have turned me down so I have to resort to paying $20.00 to a check cashing place every month. I do have a debit card with PayPal though.

Try some of the smaller home town banks, also why not open a savings account, you can still direct deposit and then do one or two withdrawals form it.
